Anderson v1 pg242-243 - letter #225

Dear Doctor!

A thousand thanks for your efforts on my behalf. If I had received the news a little sooner I might have been spared a few unpleasant days – The post from Baden is the most wretched of all; it resembles the whole Austrian state. I received your letter only today – If I can manage it, you may expect me tomorrow morning between nine and ten o’clock at your house – I am coming into Vienna – I very much hope that you will accompany me on Tuesday to Clementi. For I know how to make myself understood to foreigners better through my notes than by word of mouth. Once more my warmest thanks for all your friendliness and kindness to me.

      My best wishes to Malfatti.
                                                      Be fond of your friend
